The Venue and Food

Cortijo las Salinas is a very old Spanish villa which has Roman origins and some interesting ancient history.  It has been respectfully restored into a retreat venue having a  combination of single and double bedrooms creating flexible accommodation with private facilities.  It is the perfect venue for art, yoga and fitness, corporate team building and health retreats.  The food is prepared freshly daily in our Garden Kitchen using organic locally sourced vegetarian food.  We have our own chickens for organic eggs which make a wonderful tortilla and a bread oven which makes delicious pizza !

This private oasis is set between the ancient cities of Granada, Cordoba and Jaén, amidst ancient olive groves with breathtaking uniterrupted views over the beautiful and dramatic landscapes of the Sierra Sur.  The villa is officially registered and regularly inspected, we therefore comply to a very high standard of cleanliness, facilities and service.

There are many secluded areas for reading and meditation as well as the communal areas for get togethers and socialising.   The swimming pool is warm and inviting with many sun beds and relaxing areas including a gazebo.  Towels and pool towels are provided, along with robes during your retreat stay.

The art studio is perfect for a painting workshop or art/meditation session, and is fully equipped with paints, brushes and easels.
